The perfect crispy Chippies


[contains ad/werbung] One of the most frequently asked questions seriously is: HOW TO GET THEM PERFECTLY CRISPY FRIES ?

So I tried some things, some worked better, some didn’t work at all but here we go with my easy preparation to get them potatoes crunchy, and insta worthy 😉

You’ll need:

  • potatoes
  • water
  • peeler
  • this Cutter * (I actually tested two cutters. The cheaper one* is a little less comfortable to use but it does its job too )
  • salt and/or your favorite spice (I am using a special fries spice, Pommes-Gewürz*)


How to:

  1. Preheat your oven to 200 º
  2. Peal your potatoes
  3. cut them with your crinkle cutter widthways into 1cm thick slices. Cut these (with your cutter again) lengthwise into typical (crinkled) fries
  4. Wash your potato fries and put them into a bowl filled with warm water for at least a few minutes (∼ 10 minutes)
  5. Dry them with a cloth and add seasonings
  6. Put the fries on a baking tray lined with baking parchment
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes. Eventually turn around  them fries after 15 minutes

Serve with ketchup and life hack: ALMOND BUTTER! (Tastes like mayo seriously!)
